This is the main pilgrimage place on the Silk Road, the burial place of the Christ’s Robe, the tomb place of Georgian Kings and the most frequently visited place in Georgia. Built in 1010-1029 cc, it is listed as UNESCO World Heritage Site.The name Svetitskhoveli is translated as a “live-giving pillar”

day 3: Gudauri – Stepantsminda (Khazbegi)

Day 4: uplistsikhe-Kutaisi

Day 5: Martvili cabyon and prometeus cave tour

duration 9-10 hours

Martvili canyon: The canyon is adorned with vibrant blue-green waters, lush greenery, and towering cliffs, creating a breathtaking landscape. Visitors can embark on boat tours along the emerald river, passing through the canyon’s dramatic twists and turns. Explore the pedestrian bridges and pathways that offer panoramic views of the cascading waterfalls and marvel at the unique rock formations. Prometheus Cave: named after the Greek mythological hero Prometheus, chained on the south Caucasus Mountains, was discovered in 1984. It is the longest cave of such kind open to the public in Georgia: there are discovered about 11 km length 22 halls; only six are available to visit. This 1, 8 km one-hour trail is 40 meters below sea level and passes through all beautifully lighted 6 halls: Argonauts, Kolkheti, Medea, Love Hall, Prometheus and Iberia Halls. The pass finishes by pedestrian or boating tour on an underground flow of river Kumi. It takes only 15 minutes.
